It’s official! Redemption Road is on the prescribed list of Literature-in-English texts for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) 2026-2030. 

Elma Shaw’s award-winning novel explores themes that are more relevant than ever in the region, and its selection by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) will give students in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, The Gambia, and Nigeria an opportunity to actively dialogue about peace and justice issues.

A new edition of Redemption Road will be available for bulk purchase by April 2024, to be delivered before the 2024-25 Academic Year begins.
